Here are today’s selections.
Don’t forget the golden rule: I will not back any of these if they drift to over 6.0 on Betfair near the off.
John Gosden is bang in form and he has two improving fillies in this race. Not only that but they’re also 1st and 2nd Favourite!
The key here is to understand the trainer/jockey combination.
Crowley has a much better record than Frankie when riding for Gosden. He is much better value as Frankie rides mostly Favourites. Frankie may well win this but the value is definitely with Nazeef.
4:30K Highfaluting (NAP)
Trainer James Eustace has an enviable record at Kempton and he’s got the likely favourite here who has a good record on the All Weather and stepping up class. Jockey booking is interesting and indicates the trainer really wants to win this race so we should expect a good run for our money!
Sporting Life says:
‘ … showed a good attitude when scoring over 7f here on final start and just as happy over a mile, so has plenty going for him if returning in same form.’
5:40K: Fly The Nest
Tony Carroll runs this horse in a low grade handicap and he should be able to score. The jockey Marquand has a good record at Kempton so should go close.
Currently 6.6 on Betfair. I’ll be looking for it to be backed near the off if i’m going to back it!
2:30Y Dutch Story
Amanda Perrett hasn’t sent many horses to Yarmouth so this one caught the eye. The horse is a CD winner and jockey Havlin has one of the best records at the course so this must be respected.
4:15Y: City Wanderer
I hardly ever bet any of Mick Channon’s horses but that’s about to change today! The horse is a decent handicapper and jockey booking of De Sousa is a big plus. De Sousa is PROFITABLE at Yarmouth which is quite rare for a jockey so worth taking note of.
Sporting Life says:
‘Won three of his last four starts in 2019, culminating in a career best at Windsor in 2019. Runner-up franked that form and every chance he can go on improving this year; booking of De Sousa a plus.’
